Usain Bolt has had a less than stellar 2015 to put it mildly.

The world’s fastest man has not graced the track too often in recent times and his best time this year in the 100 meters is 10.12 .

Trayvon Bromell is a name we may begin to hear being uttered far more frequently in the not too distant future.

The 19-year-old American sprinter ran 9.84 at the US trials recently, and is generating a huge buzz in the global athletics scene.

With his time he became the tenth fastest man of all time.

When compared to the five fastest men on earth, Bromell’s run is even more impressive.

Bolt, Blake, Asafa Powell, Tyson Gay and Justin Gatlin have all become much faster after their teenage years.

Besides himself, only Yohan Blake managed to run sub-ten seconds before age 20. It’s no wonder he is drawing comparisons to Jamaica’s  ‘Lightning’ Bolt and is already being described as a legend in the making.

Check out this table via IAAF comparing Bromell with the fastest sprinters today.
