Sterling Expected to Leave Liverpool

Jamaican born Raheem Sterling is expected to tell  his manager – Brendan Rodgers he wants to leave Liverpool this summer.

Sterling who now plays forward for England has already rejected a £100,000 a week contract and denied being a money grabber in an interview a few weeks ago.

He will meet with Liverpool’s CEO Ian Ayre and club manager Rodgers on Friday when he is expected to officially notify them of his desire to leave.

Though Liverpool has not commented publicly, it is understood they are eager to keep the 20-year-old, whose deal ends in 2017.

  

Manchester City remain the front runners for his signature should he become available.

Arsenal and several other leading European football clubs have also expressed interest in the speedy youngster.
