Estimates Reveal Jamaica Spent Over Quarter-Billion on Obama’s Visit
Initial estimates have indicated that well over a quarter billion dollars (270 million) was spent to host United States President Barack Obama last month.
Information Minister Sandrea Falconer, revealed the estimated figures at this morning’s Jamaica House media briefing.
She also stated an additional 66 million was spent to cover other events relating to the President’s visit.
Government moved swiftly to carry out road repairs and clean up activities leading up to the arrival of the POTUS last month.
