Witch Doctor who Rose to Fame During World Cup 2014 is Now in Jamaica
Ghana’s most influential witch doctor Nana Kwaku Bonsam who claimed he was responsible for the knee injury that threatened Cristiano Ronaldo’s participation at last summer’s FIFA World Cup football finals in Brazil is now in Jamaica.
Bonsam who is on his first visit to Jamaica is now in Accompong St. Elizabeth for the annual maroon celebrations which takes place Tuesday.
Nana Kwaku Bonsam whose name translates literally as “devil of Wednesday” had in February predicted that Ronaldo the Real Madrid forward would be forced to miss the world cup with injury.
That however did not materialize.
Bonsam had also claimed to have conjured a special powder from his gods, mixed with several leaves and concoctions which had been placed around an image and caricature of the former Manchester united player.
That too failed to work as Ronaldo went on to score the winning goal for Portugal to defeat Ghana 2-1 when they met at the world cup on June 26.
Are you sure that the term “witch doctor” is appropriate? This is the dismissive Eurocentric word for what some folks, including Ghanaians, call a priest.
Am glad his portion didn’t work , he can now give his life to christ.
