Medical students perish in Old Hope Road accident

According to Loop News, two medical students from the University of the West Indies, Mona are now dead following a motor vehicle accident on Old Hope Road, Kingston on Saturday morning.

Dead are Danielle Hanson, 19, from Mandeville and Mikhail Campbell, 19, from Patrick Gardens in Kingston.

Reports are that Hanson was driving a motor car, in which Campbell was a passenger, heading in the direction of Papine, when she hit a curb and lost control of the vehicle.

She collided with a SUV that was travelling in the opposite direction.

Hanson and Campbell were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.

I lost my cousin Courtney Tater and his friend in a car accident in Jamaica one year ago while he visited Jamaica I often wonder if there’s some fault in the road construction.

there are faults with tha road construction ,but there is also careless n reckless driving .wearing no seatbelts, using a cellphone while driving, texting.messing with the radio, unessessary overtaking.following too closely behind tha vehicle in front of you.while speeding n taking your eyes of the road while conversating with others in tha car with you

need reflectors and proper marking on all jamaican roads….. if this happend in the day i believe its more the driver fault but night driving in jamaican roads you have to be 100% alert
