Primary School being plagued by Crocodiles

According to RJR News, the Greater Portmore Primary School in St. Catherine is appealing to the authorities as the institution’s playing field is being plagued by crocodiles.

Principal, Maxine Thomas, disclosed that the cleaning of  a drain which runs in the middle of  the field has created a nesting place for the reptiles.

Ms Thompson says students are only permitted to use the field under adult supervision especially at this time when the school is preparing for competitions.

She said despite submissions to the Ministry of  Education and other agencies nothing has been done. Ms Thompson said Transport and Works Minister Dr Omar Davies had promised to address the issue.
