Jamaica’ supremely talented vocalist Tessanne Chin describes her experience on ‘The Voice’ with Los Angeles news network, KTLA 5 News.
Tessanne has now climbed into the final six contestants of the American television mega hit show, The Voice.
Chin, who injected a Jamaican flavour to the NBC contest Monday night with an energetic performance of the reggae number “Underneath It All by No Doubt,” featuring deejay Lady Saw, was visibly nervous each time presenter Carson Daly announced the name of the contestants who, based on public vote, moved up to the next round.
Her anxiety, however, ended on the fourth announcement which triggered celebration among Jamaicans on the island and in the diaspora, as well as from her coach, Adam Levine.
Adam Levine now has three members of his team in the top six as Chin was joined by Will Champlin and James Wolpert.
Several renowned individuals have voiced their happiness for Tessanne’s achievements thus far.
Business mogul Gordon Stewart aka ‘Butch’ expressed pride in the achievement of Jamaican songbird Tessanne Chin on NBC’s The Voice, saying she flies the Jamaican flag in sharing “her awesome talent with the world”.
