80,000 gallons of fuel stolen from CVM TV Transmission site
According to reports from CVM TV, around 80,000 gallons of fuel was stolen from one of its transmission site in Mount Airy, Westmoreland yesterday afternoon.
Described as a “daring daylight heist“, the incident took place at 2:30 pm, when three men in a Toyota Corolla motorcar siphoned fuel from the Generator at the site.
A CVM TV contract employee attempted to challenge the men however, one of the thieves brandished a gun, and they resumed their illegal activity by removing the remaining fuel, before escaping from the area.
The matter was later reported to the police.
