Jamaica’s Unbeaten World Featherweight making Waves!
Jamaica’s unbeaten World Featherweight boxing champion Nicholas ‘Axeman’ Walters will make his Top Rank debut on November 9 in Corpus Christi Texas on the Top Rank Monster HBO televised card.
Walters, who signed a multi-year deal with world famous promoter Bob Arum and his Top Rank organisation, is being lined up to face the likes of Evgeny Gradovich, the winner of the Orlando Salido vs Orlando Cruz fight, Nonito Donaire, Vasyl Lomachenko, the two time Olympic gold medallist and Guillermo Rigondeaux.
The November 9 card involves two world title fights, topping the bill is a compelling clash between Vanes Martirosyan and Demetrius Andrade for the vacant WBO Light-Middleweight title.
Nonito Donaire makes his comeback in a fantastic rematch with old rival Vic Darchinyan down at Super-Bantamweight on the stacked undercard, as well as Mikey Garcia’s shot at Roman Martinez’s WBO Super-Featherweight crown.
Although Walters will only be shown to a fringe audience on the web-televised undercard, should he prevail, he will reportedly next face either Lomachenko, Donaire or the winner of Orlando Cruz vs Orlando Salido who clash for the vacant WBO title in an excellent featherweight duel on October 12.
Walters who is 22-0 with 18 knockouts has not been in action since last December when he knocked down Daulis Prescott 3 times en route to a 7th round stoppage to capture the title.
