Fix a Heart

Bounced and kicked,

Lied and tricked,

Ticked off by some,

Drunk without rum,

Merciless life,

Continuous strife,

Knifed back,

Love’s attack,

Blocking blows,

Vicious flows,

Shows weakness,

Bitter sweetness,

Guessing why,

Perceived lies,

Had you,

Glad to,

Say no,

And go,

Hurt a la carte,

Battered heart,

Trust scattered,

Not flattered,

By a smile,

Flashy style,

Job doubled,

Loves troubled,

Breaking walls,

Unblocking calls,

Trying to get thru,

To loving you,

The hard part,

Before I can start,

Going thru my bag of tricks,

I First have a heart to fix.
