Daniel Gordon May join the Reggae Boyz

The Jamaican Assistant national senior football team coach Alfredo Montesso has left the island for Germany to watch prospective Reggae Boy Daniel Gordon who could be joining the national team for the next set of World Cup qualifiers in June.

Gordon a midfielder with German Third Division side Karlsruher SC could be the man replacing Nyron Nosworthy in Jamaica’s defense for their next set of World Cup matches in early June against Mexico, the United States and Honduras.

The 28 year old Gordon who was born in Dortmund, West Germany January 16, 1985 had previously played for Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga 2006-2009.

Before that however he played for VFL Bochum 2004-2006 while since then he has played Rot-Weiß Oberhausen 2009-2011 and FSV Frankfurt for one season 2011-2012.

  

Montesso is set to see Gordon play on Friday following which they will meet to discuss his possible future as a Reggae Boy.

The Brazilian who is also the head coach of the national under 23 side will then travel to England on Saturday where he hopes to see present and potential national players before he returns to the island on Sunday.
