Boston Marathon Rocked by Bombings

Two bombs detonated close to the finish line at the Boston Marathon earlier today, leaving a scene filled with blood and destruction.

The powerful explosions sent people flying through the air to the ground causing two deaths and dozens of injuries. An 8-year-old boy is confirmed among the dead according to a state law enforcement source.

Based on hospital reports there are at least 134 people being treated, of which at least 42 are in serious condition. Of the injured 10 people are  so far confirmed to have had limbs amputated, according to a terrorism expert briefed on the investigation.

President Barack Obama vowed to inflict proper punishment to the culprits by stating “Any responsible individuals, any responsible groups, will feel the full weight of justice,”.

The  bombings have been classified as a terrorist attack by Federal authorities, however they do not know whether the explosions were orchestrated by foreigners.
