Colloidal Silver – Jamaicans are Clamouring for this ‘Miracle’ Drink!

The Colloidal Silver wave seems to be slowly moving across Jamaica.

An increasing number of persons across the island are now consuming this somewhat strange concoction.

It has been hailed by many Jamaicans as a miracle cure for a host of ailments and illnesses though there are conflicting views regarding it’s safety and efficacy.

Some health experts will say the claims for the silver are unfounded while many persons who have been consuming it for years will waste no time in sharing stories about the positive healing effects it has had on their bodies.

But what exactly is colloidal silver?  Is it safe and what is it good for?

As the name suggests, colloidal silver really is silver. Simply put, colloidal silver is mostly microscopic bits of silver suspended in a liquid (usually water).

There have been many incredible claims about  it as well (Such as it being used successfully to treat persons for Ebola in Sierra Leone Source).

The Jamaican Blogs™ managed to get in touch with Devon Hall, a prominent manufacturer and distributor of Colloidal Silver in Jamaica to find out some more about about this miracle water.

Mr Hall is a graduate of the College of Health Sciences & Vocational Studies. He also holds certificates in Health and Safety and Foods & Hygiene from the Royal Society of Health, London. He is also a researcher of Homeopathic Medicine and Nutrition.

Here is what he had to say:

Silver is lethal to over 650 disease causing bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, and moulds. Colloidal Silver eliminates pathogens by a different germicidal mechanism of deactivation.

Based on research done at the University of California Los Angeles, School of Medicine (UCLA), silver kills over 650 pathogens in VIVO and in VIETRO, including the HIV virus within minutes of contact.

Silver enhances the ‘T’ cells and ‘B’ cells which form part of our immune system to fight off pathogens. In fact, it is said that silver protects the body from all known pathogens.

Many scientists and researchers say Colloidal Silver has been proven to eliminate and resist strains of bacteria, viruses, protozoa, yeast and so on. No microbe, apart from probiotic bacteria, which have thick cell walls can escape silver when they come into contact with it.

Silver carries a positive charge while most pathogens are negatively charged. Because of the opposites in charge, the positively charged silver particles lock on the the negatively charged pathogens and suffocate them to death without killing the host.

In ancient Greece, Rome, Phoenicia and Macedonia silver was used extensively to control infections and spoilage.

Hippocrates, The “Father of Medicine,” taught that silver healed wounds and controlled disease.

The popularity of medicinal silver arose throughout the Middle East from 702 AD, where it was widely used and greatly esteemed for blood purification, heart conditions, and controlling halitosis. Paracelsus (circa 1520 AD) extensively used silver medicinally, and later Caradanus Pareus, and Sala also used it.

Some researches said that when the Bubonic Plague, otherwise known as the Black Death, one of the greatest Pandemics known to man devastated Europe in 1346-1353, resulting in the deaths of between 75 million to 200 million people, the royals and upper classes were untouched because they were privy to the use of silver in their wares and their water.
