CAPE 2026 Results Show Strong Performances Across the Caribbean

Several CAPE subjects recorded pass rates above 95 per cent in the May-June 2026 examinations, with Information Technology Unit 2 leading the listed subject results at 99 per cent.

Strong performances were also recorded in Physics Unit 2 and Caribbean Studies, both at 98 per cent, while Environmental Science Unit 1 and Physics Unit 1 each achieved 97 per cent.

Environmental Science Unit 2 recorded a 96 per cent pass rate. Information Technology Unit 1, Entrepreneurship Units 1 and 2, Biology Unit 2 and Pure Mathematics Unit 2 each reached 95 per cent.

At the lower end of the listed results, Accounting recorded the weakest performance. The pass rate for Unit 1 stood at 79 per cent, while Unit 2 reached 87 per cent. Pure Mathematics Unit 1 followed at 90 per cent.

  

Chemistry Units 1 and 2 both recorded pass rates of 93 per cent. The same rate was achieved in Communication Studies and Biology Unit 1.

Across the region, 93 per cent of candidates who took CAPE during the May-June sitting earned acceptable grades.

Performance across individual territories was also high. Ten territories posted overall pass rates between 98 and 100 per cent, while another five recorded results ranging from 91 to 97 per cent.

The examination figures were presented by Caribbean Examinations Council Director of Operations Dr Nicole Manning during the official release of the May-June 2026 CXC examination results in Anguilla on Tuesday, August 18.
