Tropical Storm Warning In Effect For Jamaica
A Tropical Storm Warning is now in effect for Jamaica as Grace approaches the island.
The warning means that tropical storm conditions, including possible sustained winds of between 63-118 km/h are expected to affect Jamaica.
The Meteorological Service says Grace will produce widespread showers and thunderstorms across the island today.
Rainfall amounts could reach four to six inches, generating flash floods and possible landslides.
Strong, gusty winds will also be experienced, primarily over northern parishes.
Marine interests are urged to exercise extreme caution.
Small craft operators should remain in port.
