Former England Youth Star Appears Eager To Join Reggae Boyz
Former England Under-21 whizzkid Ravel Morrison will likely be donning a Reggae Boyz jersey in the not too distant future.
Morrison, via a recent social media post announced that he will be heading to Jamaica to see about switching his allegiance at the international level.
The 25-year old currently plays for Mexican side Atlas on loan from Lazio but most analysts of the sport seem to regard him as a top talent in world football .
He started his career with Manchester United, before joining West Ham United in January 2012. He then spent the 2012–13 season on loan with Birmingham City, and also played for Queens Park Rangers and Cardiff City on loan in 2014, featuring in the QPR side that won the 2014 Football League Championship play-off Final.
According to former England and Manchester United centre back Rio Ferdinand, United’s previous manager Sir Alex Ferguson thought the then teenager was “the best player he had seen at that age” .
And in October 2015, Lazio director Igli Tare said Morrison “has undoubted quality and is world class, as well as being a little mad”.
Morrison has been capped by England at under-16, under-17, under-18 and under-21 levels.
He reportedly qualifies to represent Jamaica via his mother.
