Calabar Narrowly Wins 6th Consecutive Boys’ Champs Title
In what proved to be one of the most tightly contested championships in the history of the Boys and Girls’ Athletics Championships, Calabar earned their sixth consecutive title on Saturday night at the National Stadium.
Calabar amassed a whopping total of 317 points, with Kingston College (KC) finishing in second place with 314 points.
Jamaica College (JC) finished third with 203 points.
Meanwhile for the girls, Edwin Allen High ended on 316.50 points with their closest rival – Hydel lagging some distance behind for second place with a total of 265.
This represents Edwin Allen’s fourth consecutive title win and their sixth overall.
St Jago High finished fourth with 157 points, with STETHS rounding off the top five on 114.50 points.
The top 10 was completed by Wolmer’s Boys’ School on 77 points ahead of Petersfield High with 71.
Munro College finished eighth on 52, with Rusea’s High next with 40. Edwin Allen boys followed on 32 points.
