Rio Games Schedule For Jamaica – August 17
On Tuesday night (August 16) Omar McLeod won the men’s 110m hurdles final at the Olympic Games currently underway in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
He is now the first Jamaican to win gold in that event at an Olympics.
McLeod’s blistering run of 13.05 was simply too much to handle for his competitiors as the impressive hurdler managed to separate himself from the rest of the field before crossing the finish line.
Today, Jamaica’s winners from both the men’s and women’s 100m finals will once again grace the track.
The world’s fastest man who recently became the first person to win gold in the 100m at three consecutive Olympic games will compete in the men’s 200m semis at 8 pm.
Women’s 100m gold medallist Elaine Thompson will compete in the women’s 200m final at 8:30 pm.
