Bolt to Race Arsenal’s Speedster Hector Bellerín?

Héctor Bellerín Moruno is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a right back for English club Arsenal.

He is renowned for his speed.

In fact, so pacy is Bellerín that there have even been claims that he is faster than the World’s fastest man (Usain Bolt) over 40 metres.

When Jamaica’s Usain Bolt shattered the 100m world record in 2009, it took him 4.64 seconds to cover the first 40m.

It has been reported that Bellerin ran the same distance in 4.41 seconds – but…… we have not seen footage of him accomplishing this and we don’t know what kind of advantage(s) the Arsenal man might have had particularly at the start of said distance.

If Bellerín’s time was measured from a running start (which we strongly suspect), he would have had a tremendous advantage and of course, without question, Bolt would still obliterate him over 100m.

The widespread reports regarding Bellerín’s speed over 40m which have surfaced in recent months have led to speculation of a possible race between the men.

Recently Bellerín asked sportswear Giant Puma via Twitter if he could have a race against their advanced training robot – the BeatBot – which has equalled Usain Bolt’s world record time over 100m.

We have no doubt Bolt would win such an encounter, but it would be fun to watch 🙂
