UP UP UP – Sing it Loud

The West Indies a wha?…..  Champions..Champions !!!!! 🙂

2016 is shaping up to be quite a wonderful year for West Indies cricket.

A seemingly amped up West Indies men’s team has followed in the footsteps of their female counterparts.

Despite needing 19 runs in the final over to secure victory in the world T20 final against England in Kolkata earlier today, the Windies never lost doubt and four timely sixes from Carlos Brathwaite in the last over of the game helped ensure a second World T20 victory for the West Indies.

This victory means The West Indies men’s team is the first to lift the World T20 Trophy twice.

England set a respectable target of 155 inside their 20 overs had a disastrous start.

After being sent in to bat first, England scored 155 for nine. England had lost their first wicket without registering a single run but eventually rebounded.

With three balls remaining in the final over, the Windies needed just 1 run from three remaining deliveries to win the match but Brathwaite’s last six of the game ensured victory with two balls to spare.
