Mavado sues Member of Parliament over Incomplete House

Popular Entertainer Mavado is suing member of Parliament Paul Buchannan following a failed $20 million dollar housing deal.

According to Irie FM, Mavado stated that as part of the agreement, the MP was contracted to construct a townhouse on a property located in Norbrook, St Andrew.

However, five years have elapsed and Paul Buchanan has reportedly failed to hand over a title to the dancehall singjay and the townhouse has not been constructed.

Mavado’s attorney Tamika Harris told Irie FM’s Music News that the artiste wanted to settle the matter out of court but was forced to file the lawsuit in the Supreme Court due to Mr. Buchannan’s unwillingness.

According to the lawsuit, Mavado is seeking damages in a bid to recover more than J$20 million reportedly paid over to the politician.

Expert 2010 Company Limited is being sued for failure to perform.
