Rudolph Speid Joins Reggae Boyz Coaching Team Ahead of World Cup Qualifiers
Rudolph Speid has been brought into the Reggae Boyz setup as part of the technical staff ahead of the final round of World Cup qualifiers.
Now serving as technical advisor to Reggae Boyz head coach Steve McClaren, Speid brings with him a proven track record, having guided Cavalier FC to three National Premier League titles as well as the Concacaf Caribbean Club Championship.
This latest appointment was finalised during a meeting in Jamaica last week that included McClaren, Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) President Michael Ricketts, and Speid himself.
Having already led Caribbean clubs to regional success, Speid is seen as a timely addition as Jamaica prepares to face regional opponents in their qualifying campaign.
The JFF Board of Directors approved the move just days ago, according to media reports.
Speid, who is also chairman of the JFF Technical and Development Committee, is currently pursuing his pro coaching licence.
Jamaica’s journey in the final round of World Cup qualifiers begins with an away clash against Bermuda on September 5, before hosting Trinidad and Tobago at the National Stadium on September 9.
