Acclaimed US comedian Dave Chappelle recently delivered laughter and unforgettable vibes during a high-energy visit to Jamaica, joining DJ Trauma’s musical retreat at the S Hotel in Montego Bay.

The retreat’s dancehall-themed night turned into a viral sensation when Chappelle surprised guests by jumping into the spotlight to sing and dance with British singer Estelle and Jamaican dancehall artist Kranium.

Their lively performance to Chaka Demus and Plies’ hit “Bam Bam” ignited the crowd and quickly made the rounds on social media.

“Something special happened in Jamaica!!!!” DJ Trauma shared on Instagram, posting a clip of the impromptu moment. “Sometimes you can’t plan for this type of magic to happen. We were blessed to have greatness at the retreat, having downtime, having fun!!!”

Chappelle, who has a long-standing collaboration with DJ Trauma, fully embraced the island’s culture, even taking part in a spirited dancehall soundclash.

The event, part of Trauma’s annual retreat, blends music, culture, and relaxation, attracting creatives from across the entertainment world.

Adding to the buzz, rapper Lil Yachty teased a possible joint album with Drake during the getaway, fuelling even more excitement around the star-studded retreat.

Chappelle’s vibrant Jamaican experience comes just ahead of the fifth edition of his “Summer Camp” comedy series, set for July and August in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
