Leon Bailey Could Feature for Aston Villa Against Young Boys Today After Hamstring Injury Recovery

Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey may be set to return to action today after recovering from a hamstring injury.

The Jamaican international, who has been sidelined for over two weeks, could feature in Villa’s Champions League group-stage clash against Swiss champions Young Boys.

The confirmation of Bailey’s potential involvement came from Villa’s head coach Unai Emery during a press conference yesterday.

The match will mark Villa’s first game in this season’s Champions League group phase.

Bailey sustained the injury during Villa’s 2-1 victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium, which forced him to withdraw from Jamaica’s Concacaf Nations League match against Honduras.

He also missed Villa’s Premier League win over Everton at the weekend.

Aston Villa are set to face six matches across various competitions in the next three weeks, with the next international break scheduled for October.
