Cold Front Approaches Jamaica: Strong Winds, Chilly Temperatures, and Showers Expected

Jamaicans are advised to prepare for the impact of a potent cold front set to arrive by Monday night, following a pre-frontal trough anticipated to traverse Jamaica this evening through tomorrow.

According to the early-morning forecast from the Meteorological Service on Sunday, gusty conditions are expected to commence late tonight and persist throughout the week. Monday and Tuesday could see winds nearing gale force.

Starting from Monday, cooler temperatures are anticipated, lasting throughout the week.

The Meteorological Service also predicts cloudy conditions accompanied by periods of showers and isolated thunderstorms, particularly affecting southern and north-western parishes on Monday into early Tuesday morning.

  

Three day forecast:

– Monday: Very strong winds, cloudy and cool conditions island-wide with intermittent showers and isolated thunderstorms, especially in southern and north-western parishes.

– Tuesday: Very strong winds, mostly cloudy and cool conditions across the island.

– Wednesday: Very cool temperatures, mainly fair and windy.
