Jamaica’s Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw Scores Hat Trick to Lead Man City to 7-0 Victory Over Tottenham!

On Sunday Manchester City routed Tottenham Hotspur 7-0, extending their impressive form following last weekend’s triumph in the Manchester derby.

The first half belonged to Jamaican international Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, who orchestrated a ruthless 15-minute masterclass in front of goal.

Shaw opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, nodding home Leila Ouahabi’s cross with such force that Spurs’ goalkeeper, Becky Spencer, could only manage a touch before the ball nestled into the net.

Shaw continued her onslaught, doubling City’s advantage in the 32nd minute. Jill Roord provided a low cross from the left, requiring Shaw to stoop and head the ball past Spencer with precision.

The Jamaican striker completed her hat-trick just six minutes later, controlling Laia Aleixandri’s delivery with her chest inside the penalty area before volleying low into the bottom corner.

Tottenham, left stunned by Shaw’s clinical finishing, sought a turnaround. Manager Robert Vilahamn introduced Rosella Ayane for Zhang Linyan at halftime in an attempt to shift the momentum.

City, however, remained relentless in the second half. Three more goals came in a blistering 11-minute spell. Lauren Hemp’s strike from the edge of the penalty area found the top corner before Roord capitalised on Hemp’s cross, securing her brace and City’s fifth.

Despite fine saves from Spurs’ Martha Thomas and Eveliina Summanen, City’s goalkeeper Khiara Keating remained vigilant. The relentless attacking display continued, with Hemp providing another assist for Laura Coombs, who netted City’s sixth.

Coombs then sealed the victory in injury time with a sublime finish into the top corner, securing City’s seventh and final goal.
