Thompson-Herah gets New Coach for Remainder of the Season!
Elaine Thompson-Herah has enlisted the coaching expertise of former MVP head Shanikie Osbourne for the remainder of the season.
This partnership was initiated following the conclusion of this year’s National Senior Championships, during which Thompson-Herah secured her spot in the relay pool for the upcoming World Championships but missed out on qualification for the individual event.
This strategic move follows Thompson-Herah’s decision last year to transition from the MVP Track Club, under the guidance of coach Stephen Francis, to being coached by her husband, Derron Herah.
As she strives to maintain her exceptional performance, the athlete has sought temporary guidance from Osbourne to fine-tune her approach.
Osbourne, a renowned figure in the track and field coaching realm, affirmed that this arrangement was established subsequent to the National Championships held in July.
