Reggae Boy Demarai Gray Seems Set to Join Saudi Pro League club Al-Shabab
Reports indicate that Everton Football Club is on the verge of parting ways with Reggae Boy Demarai Gray, with a verbal agreement reportedly in place.
The 27-year-old winger had been linked with potential transfers to Premier League competitors Fulham and Crystal Palace.
However, it seems that Gray’s next destination is set to be Al-Shabab in the Saudi Pro League.
Renowned Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Al-Shabab and Everton have reached a “verbal agreement in principle” regarding Gray’s transfer.
The Saudi Arabian club and Gray are now poised to commence negotiations concerning personal terms for the move.
Gray, who has not participated in Everton’s initial two matches of the season, witnessed his team endure an unfortunate defeat against Fulham in their first outing, followed by a comprehensive defeat at the hands of Aston Villa in their second game.
The talented winger originally arrived at Goodison Park in 2021, commanding a reported fee of £1.7 million.
Throughout his tenure, Gray managed to find the back of the net 12 times in a total of 75 matches since his signing.
