Popular DJ, Music Producer – Arif Cooper Dies

Arif Cooper, the well-known disc jockey, music producer, and radio personality, has passed away.

According to reports, Cooper collapsed while playing a set at a party in the corporate area in the early hours of Sunday morning.

He was rushed to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Cooper’s father, Michael ‘Ibo,’ was the founder of the iconic Reggae group, Third World.

  

Arif grew up around music legends such as Bob Marley and Stevie Wonder, thanks to his father’s influence, and eventually became a DJ in the early 1990s.

Throughout his more than thirty-year career, Cooper collaborated with some of the most prominent names in dancehall music, including Vybz Kartel, Sean Paul, Tami Chynn, Jah Cure, Elephant Man, Baby Cham, Demarco, Aidonia, Konshens, Wayne Marshall, and Christopher Martin.
