Usain Bolt To Receive BBC Sports Personality Lifetime Achievement Award

Jamaica’s 8 time Olympic Champion – Usain Bolt is to be honoured with the BBC Sports Personality lifetime achievement award.

The legendary sprinter hung up his spikes in 2017 following a spectacular career that saw him become the only human to win the 100 and 200 meters events at three consecutive Olympic Games .

Bolt also holds the world 100 and 200 metre records of 9.58 and 19.19 seconds respectively…..both set at the then IAAF 2009  World championships in Berlin.

Some of his other accomplishments include winning the Prestigious Laureus Sportsman of the Year Award four times .

  

Bolt was also Jamaica’s Sportsman of the year on seven occasions and was a five-time winner of the World Athletics sportsman of the year award.

The BBC Annual sports personality of the year awards will take place on Wednesday.
