Two More COVID-19 Deaths Recorded Locally
Two senior citizens are the most recent persons to succumb to COVID-19 in Jamaica, the Ministry of Health and Wellness has revealed.
Jamaica’s COVID-19 death toll has now increased to 294.
The latest cases include a 75 year old male from Clarendon and a 67 year old male from Westmoreland whose death was previously under investigation.
Jamaica’s case count now stands at 12,597.
Kingston & St Andrew (14) recorded the majority of the new cases, followed by St. Catherine (12) and St Ann (11).
The Ministry of Health says the number of persons hospitalised with the respiratory illness currently stands at 88.
Seven of them are critically ill.
