WATCH: Retired Jamaican-Born Olympian Shines On America’s Got Talent

Retired Jamaican 400m Olympic hurdler, Shevon Nieto formerly Stoddart earned a well deserved spot in the 2nd round of auditions, on the immensely popular NBC talent show, America’s Got Talent earlier this week.

On Tuesday night, Shevon impressed judges with her original song ‘Through the Good and the Bad’, which is a tribute to her husband, a former Olympic high jumper, who suffered a devastating injury in 2016, that left him paralysed.

Following her performance, Shevon promptly received a standing ovation, and yes votes from all four judges, propelling her to the next round.

Shevon represented Jamaica at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004, and Beijing in 2008.
