Koffee Wins Grammy For Best Reggae Album
“This one is for Jamaica!”
Jamaican recording artiste Koffee has won her first Grammy Award.
The 19-year-old won the Best Reggae Album Grammy Award at the 2020 Grammy Awards for her “Rapture” EP.
Koffee faced some stiff competition for the Award with her EP being shortlisted alongside Julian Marley’s As I Am; The Final Battle: Sly & Robbie vs Roots Radics by Sly & Robbie; Mass Manipulation by Steel Pulse; and More Work To Be Done by Third World.
In her acceptance speech, the teenager thanked the other nominees for their contributions to Reggae Industry and concluded by saying “this one is for all of us, this one is for Reggae, this one is for Jamaica”.
