George Quallo Appointed Commissioner of Police
Jamaica’s New Police Commissioner
Deputy Commissioner of Police George Quallo has reportedly been appointed Commissioner of Police.
He replaces Dr Carl Williams who suddenly stepped down from the post in January.
Quallo has been in charge of Territorial Operations in the Jamaica Constabulary Force since 2016.
He was promoted to deputy commissioner in 2015.four decades.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Novelette Grant has been acting in the post of commissioner since Williams left the force.
Quallo’s appointment will take effect on April 18.
