Jamaican producer Tarik ‘Rvssian’ Gets Second Platinum Record
Jamaican producer Tarik ‘Rvssian‘ Johnston continues to make enormous strides in the world of music as he recently received his second platinum record.
Johnson is perhaps most well known for his work with the currently incarcerated dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel, however he has spread his wings and has reaped tremendous success via projects with American rapper Kevin Gates.
Kevin Gates’ solo debut album called Islah was released in January, 2016.
The release followed a number of chart-topping singles.
The singles include the September 2015 released song, The Truth, on which Rvssian is credited as the sole producer.
The Truth alludes to one of the artiste’s more unsettling incidents since the start of his career, in which he kicked a female fan in the chest during a performance.
Islah enjoyed a smashing number 2 debut on the Billboard 200 album chart.
The album contains 15 tracks, including charting singles Really Really and 2 Phones.
Rvssian recently released a new single called, Privado, featuring Konshens, Nicky Jam, Farruko, and Arcange which has reportedly garnered over 13 million views in just a few weeks.
In the wake of 2010, Rvssian and Vybz Kartel teamed up on the mega hit single “Straight Jeans and Fitted.”
