Bolt Challenged to Race By Borussia Dortmund Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Footballer Challenges Bolt

Jamaica’s Usain Bolt has been challenged to a 30m dash by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, a striker who plays for Borussia Dortmund.

Aubameyang recently recorded a message which was later shown to the 9-time-Olympic gold medallist.

In the recorded clip, Aubameyang says “I am waiting, man…I want to do that race, I want to see how I am because everybody says I am fast but I don’t think so.”

Bolt is set to train with Dortmund some time next year.

Aubameyang is not the first athlete to publicly express a desire to have a race with the world’s fastest man.

Earlier this year, Héctor Bellerín, a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a right back for English club Arsenal laid down the gauntlet to Bolt.

When asked about a potential race between himself and Bolt, Bellerín stated: “It’s not me you have to ask, I’ve been waiting for that phone call from Jamaica.”

“I challenged him a while ago and he said maybe after Rio. So I’m just waiting now, need to push him.”
