Bolt Unfazed By Doping Insinuations: “I know I’ve done it clean”
Bolt Not Bothered By Doping Accusations
Jamaica’s ace sprinter – Usain Bolt is not allowing insinuations suggesting he is a drug cheat to damper his spirit.
Bolt took the world by storm in 2008 with a scintillating 9.69 seconds clocking in the 100 metres at the Beijing Olympic Games.
That achievement prompted speculation by some that he achieved the incredible feat with the aid of performance enhancing drugs.
And his successive accomplishments served to fuel the doping accusations by some despite there being zero evidence backing those negative claims.
Bolt, who has never failed a drug test, is widely regarded as the most tested athlete in the world.
In August of this year, he became the first person in history to win three consecutive 100, 200 and 4x100m Olympic gold medals at the Rio Games in August.
While speaking with The Guardian recently, Bolt made it explicitly clear that he is not fazed by the accusations.
He stated:
“I really don’t let things like that bother me. It’s because, over the years, you know that’s going to happen. That’s what they’re going to ask. I’m going to enjoy this, no matter. When you work so hard for what you have done, and it finally comes, it should feel good. I’m not going to let somebody else rob me of that moment. I feel good because I know I’ve done it clean.”
