Bolt Reveals Desired Location For His Statue to Be Erected

There has been a fair level of debate in recent times regarding the most suited location to erect a statue of the legendary Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt.

Last month, Bolt became the first person in history to complete the ‘triple-triple’, after winning 3 gold medals in the 100, 200 and 4x100m events at three consecutive Olympic games.

Since that mind boggling accomplishment, many persons from his childhood community of Sherwood Content in Trelawny have been making requests for a statue of the world’s fastest man to be erected in his hometown.

In a recent interview with Loop Jamaica, Bolt was asked where he would like to see a statue of himself erected.

Bolt revealed that he would like to see a statue of his likeness erected in Trelawny’s capital – Falmouth but did not state a specific location:

“That’s a tough question to answer….because anywhere you say, someone is gonna have a problem with that”

“But for me…Falmouth would be nice…the hometown. It is good to go back and know that everybody appreciates you, so the statue in Falmouth would be great”, he also added.
