A Race Against Time! Woman in Dire Need of Lifesaving Medicine
With the sheer amount of health problems afflicting many persons across the island, it is truly a blessing to possess good health.
Teka Thomas, a 36 year old Westmoreland woman is currently in a race against time to acquire potentially lifesaving medicine.
She has been diagnosed with Endocarditis and has a pulmonary embolism.
Endocarditis is an infection of the inner lining of your heart while a pulmonary embolism is an oftentimes fatal condition in which a blockage occurs in one of the pulmonary arteries in the lungs.

“I am asking for your help because this illness, if not treated will cost me my life. The treatment requires a medication called daptomycin which is only available in the U.S. The funds donated will provide treatment for a 3 week period which the doctors hope will be enough.
My family and I would be ever grateful for this assistance as we never expected or have a history of this virus.
Thank you for any assistance you can provide.”
