Powerful Jamaican Team Named For Rio Olympics

The Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA) has named a very strong team to represent the island at the upcoming Olympic Games in Rio Brazil in August.

Despite nursing a hamstring injury, the world’s fastest man – Usain Bolt has unsurprisingly made the list.

He is listed to compete in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m races.

Bolt will be aiming to successfully defend his 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay titles while Fraser-Pryce, (also named – naturally) will be hunting an unprecedented third 100m Olympic crown.

In 2008, Fraser-Pryce became the first Caribbean woman to win 100m gold at the Olympics and in 2012, she successfully defended her 100m title, becoming the third woman to win two consecutive 100m events at the Olympics.
