Music Video Incorporates ‘Jamaica-Ochi’ Voice Note (VIDEO)
The resort town of Ocho Rios has arguably some of the most patriotic residents you can find anywhere in Jamaica.
It is definitely a lovely place and it’s hard to argue with the widely held viewpoint that it offers the best of both worlds.
While providing access to critical healthcare and recreational facilities, the beautiful and somewhat laid back town does not offer the dreadful heat and traffic which many Kingstonians are forced to contend with on a daily basis.
Recently the hashtag #OchiVisa began popping up on various social media platforms.
This began after a hilarious voice-note of a telephone conversation began making the rounds online.
In the conversation between two people, one person asks:
“So, where you from? You is a Jamaican? Where you from New York or where?
To which the other person responds:
“Mi live a Jamaica yes, but me nuh deh a Jamaica right now, me deh a Ochi”
Many jokes and memes have been created since the voice-note began circulating and now a music video incorporating a segment of the note has been created. The video is directed by Videoroy Yaadsnap.
