Jamaican Chef Eyes ‘Chopped Champion’ Title

Andre Fowles, the Jamaican-born chef who was declared winner of the Food Network TV’s Chopped earlier this year is now eyeing the title of ‘Chopped Champion’.

His victory in last night’s airing (April 19) of the reality-based cooking television show means that he is one step closer to the title.

Chopped is an American reality-based cooking television game show series that pits four chefs against each other competing for a chance to win $10,000.

His previous victory saw him walk away with a US$10,000 grand prize.

The “Chopped Champions Event” features past winners who return to off against each other to retain their title of Chopped Champion.

If he ultimately retains his title after participating in final next week Tuesday, April 26, he will win a grand prize of US $50,000.

Fowles remains the youngest chef to ever compete in the tournament.

He recently used social media to thank his supporters stating:

Thank you to all my unwavering supporters on this amazing journey.. Proud moment for??????.. 2-time chopped champ
