Popcaan’s Touching Prayer to God
Andre Jay Sutherland, more popularly known by his stage name Popcaan is one of Jamaica’s most successful dancehall artistes.
The talented deejay recently utilised the social platform Instagram to share a touching prayer he wrote to God as a child.
“Dear God, I know you are fine. I’m asking you please to let me prosper in life. And please Lord let my grandmother and grandfather live to inherit whatever I get in life. Lord please let my big brother and sister do inherit what I get also. I am asking you to open my brain in school to take whatever I get in school. Lord I look to you one more time. Let even my mother and father inherit too Lord. This is my prayer. Your son, Andrae Sutherland,” the heartfelt prayer read.
The post was captioned:
“I wrote this prayer when I was going to primary school.. My grandma found it in one of my books the other day while cleaning her house. I jus want to say God is real and he did answer that prayer I pray to him a long time ago #givethanks,” wrote the artist.
Popcaan is currently one of Jamaica’s leading dancehall acts, so it seems God has answered his prayers. 🙂
