Formidable Reggae Boyz Squad Named For Costa Rica WCQ
A strong Jamaica team has been named to face Costa Rica in the crucial upcoming world cup qualifier on Good Friday at the National Stadium.
While team captain Rodolph Austin will not participate in this encounter, the squad named should prove to be quite a handful for Los Ticos.
According to Irie FM the squad inludes: Wes Morgan, captain of English Premier League leaders Leicester City, Adrian Mariappa, Michael Hector, Clayton Donaldson, Garath McCleary, Andre Blake, Jevaughn Watson, Kemar Lawrence, Joel McAnuff, Leo Williamson, Demar Philips, Simon Dawkins, Alvas Powell, Jermaine Taylor and Darren Mattocks.
Four local based players have also been called. They include Arnett Gardens attacking midfielder Vishnal Harris and Portmore United’s goalkeeper Shaven Sean-Paul.
Jamaica currently sits in third place in Group B in the CONCACAF semifinals with three points.
Panama also has three points but a superior goal difference while Costa Rica leads with maximum six points from their two games.
