Gatlin Registers Comfortable 100m Win Over Asafa Powell, Tyson Gay
Justin Gatlin on Thursday registered a comfortable 100m win over Asafa Powell and Tyson Gay at the Lausanne Diamond League meet in Switzerland ahead of the World Championships to be held in August.
The 33-year-old Gatlin who has been in superb form this season clocked 9.75 to separate himself from the rest of the pack on his way to victory.
Currently Gatlin is the only person to run 9.80 or better since Sept, 2013 and he has done so five times.
Asafa Powell and Tyson Gay both clocked 9.92.
Usain Bolt was also scheduled to run at the meet but pulled out due to injury.
