1-yr-old among three dead in St Ann collision
According to a report by Loop News, a one-year-old baby was among three persons killed in a horrific two-car crash late Saturday along the Dunn’s River main road in Ocho Rios, St Ann.
Those confirmed dead are one-year-old Naheeka DaCosta of Chalky Hill in St Ann; 37-year-old Latoya Davis, also of Chalky Hill, and Marsha Farquharson of Frazer Wood in Highgate, St Mary.
Sometime around 6:00 pm Saturday, a gray Mitsubishi Evolution motorcar, on its way from a wedding with four persons on board, lost control along the Dunn’s River main road.
Out of control, the car then slammed into a taxi cab that operates the Ocho Rios to Chalky Hill route. The cab had just left Ocho Rios with passengers, heading to Chalky Hill.
Eight persons in the cab, a white Toyota Corolla station wagon, along with four from the Mitsubishi were rushed to the St Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital.
Davis reportedly died at the scene of the accident while Farquharson died at hospital. On Sunday it was reported that the little girl had also died, earlier that morning.

No manufacturer makes it’s cars to withstand impact beyond a certain force. Looking at the extent of damage on the mitsubishi, it stood up well considering it’s low casualty count as reported on the news.

Does it really matter whether the car is good, old and that sort. The tragic the thing is that they accident claim the life of three persons which should be devastated to everyone who travels. DAMN!!!!!!
Such a tragedy.I knew Marsha,we all went to Highgate all age together.so sad.
it doesn’t matter if its a Mitsubishi or not..even know a fan of mitsu’s. R.I.P to the people who pass out … accidents happen like this if the driver is reckless.reflecting on paul walker death in the Porsche ….was wreckless too. feel it for the people them still especially one year old 🙁 You coulda have stability control. or AWC …..the driver is the problem

When are we gonna wake up!!! They need to implement other way’s with this driving situation .. like letting driv ers do courses , on road habits ect… n if your not fix for driving …..then clearly you should have a seat at the back ….most of these drivers dnt even know common way how to treat ppl …There behavior are as iff they are the ones paying themselves. N not the other way around.
