15-yr-old Marymount High School Student dies from suspected heart attack

The sudden death of 15 year old – 9th grader Abigail Hyman yesterday has left many persons stricken with grief at the Marymount High School in St Mary. 

According to a statement from the Education Ministry, Abigail fainted at the school and was taken to a health centre where she died of a heart attack despite efforts to resuscitate  her.

The Education Ministry has extended condolences to Abigail’s family, students, teachers and administrators of the Marymount High School.

The Ministry says it has dispatched a team of Guidance Counsellors to provide grief counseling, support and encouragement to the school.
