New Toronto to Montego Bay Flights This Year!
Canada Jetlines has announced plans to introduce twice-weekly flights between Toronto and Montego Bay, St. James, starting November 5, 2023.
The news was warmly welcomed by Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism, Edmund Bartlett, as it promises to bring an influx of tourists to the Caribbean paradise.
Sanjay Kopalkar, the Director of Sales and Business Development at Jetlines, made the announcement during a Jamaica Product Exchange (JAPEX) media breakfast meeting held at the luxurious Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort & Spa on Tuesday.
Kopalkar revealed that the airline would initiate the service with flights on Saturdays and Sundays, using state-of-the-art A320 aircraft with a seating capacity of 174 passengers.
Kopalkar expressed optimism about the future of the service, stating that there are plans to increase the frequency of flights during the winter season.
“Depending on the progress and the acquisition of new aircraft, which are lined up for the first quarter of 2024, we will look at flying at least five times a week into Jamaica,” he remarked.
This expansion holds the potential to significantly enhance Jamaica’s accessibility for Canadian travelers.
Furthermore, Canada Jetlines is also considering extending its services to Kingston, further solidifying its commitment to serving the Jamaican market.
