Jackson Reigns Supreme: Shericka Defends 200m Title in Spectacular Fashion at JAAA/Puma Championships!

Shericka Jackson defended her 200m title at the JAAA/Puma National Senior and Junior Championships, which concluded at the National Stadium in Kingston on Sunday.

Jackson, who had already claimed the 100m title on Friday with a world-leading time of 10.65, continued her dominant form by delivering another outstanding performance.

She clocked a world-leading time of 21.71, securing the sprint double for the second consecutive year.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, the five-time World 100m champion, put up a strong challenge and finished second with a season’s best time of 22.26.

Lanae Tava-Thomas, representing Texas, claimed the third spot with a time of 22.55.

In the men’s competition, reigning NACAC champion Andrew Hudson displayed his prowess by recording a season’s best time of 20.11, securing the title.

Rasheed Dwyer finished closely behind in second place with a time of 20.26, while Tyquendo Tracey claimed third place with a time of 20.48.

Yohan Blake, widely known as the second fastest man of all time in both the 100m and 200m events, finished fourth with a time of 20.51.
