Another Wave Of Saharan Dust Heading Our Way!

Another expansive plume of Saharan Dust is reportedly headed our way and has already started to move across the eastern Caribbean.

Jamaica is expected to be affected by the incoming plume this weekend.

The National Hurricane Center and Central Pacific Hurricane Center says a plume of Saharan Dust was identified across the tropical Atlantic generally from 10N to 24N east of 50W to the coast of Africa.

And yesterday, the Meteorological Service of Jamaica said the current wave of Saharan Dust plume is now diminishing in our region. The Met Service says we are to expect hazy conditions to continue over the weekend.

The Met Service also said a trough would become the significant feature for the next few days.

A low-level jet stream across the central Caribbean is expected to continue to bring windy conditions across the island, especially across southern parishes.
